of lobed melon form, raised on a shaped round pedestal base, with an elaborate and removable thistle finial, the leaf-capped scroll handle with ivory insulators, a partially fluted and raised foliate spout, and with foliate chased decoration throughout.
There are a full set of clear hallmarks underneath the base, with "Storr and Mortimer" inscribed near the marks. The date letter and lion passant are on the inside of the lid. The maker, lion passant and duty mark are also shown at the base of the handle.
